To photograph with AWA is to allow the dichotomy into the image, to welcome the inner and outer gaze into moments so that life’s memories get recorded in a truer sense. I aim to make your family photography shoots authentic and memorable.
Children need to be themselves and parents should not feel stressed during a photoshoot. If you have ever been to a family photoshoot and come away saying That was hard work then I can guarantee that those images won’t reflect your true family but one that you or the photographer thinks the world should see.
After years of being an editorial and commercial photographer, I have returned to family photography for one reason — and that is to capture families as they are. When your kids show their kids images of their childhoods, my hope is that they can say with truth, That’s how we were.
